Photos to share!

I'm really excited to share with you the photos I received back from Chris Rout today. I have to say that these photos really do capture the essence of femininity and show my hour glass figure off in full glory!

You will notice I'm wearing new sets in these shots, by Knickerbox (owned now by Ann Summers) and Gossard; a couple of the few brands out there which make gorgeous and sexy bras in larger cup sizes. It may also be said that I'm not wearing suspenders and stockings in any of these and I'm surprised to find I still love the shots, if not more, for being able to show me off in a new light.

Inspiration...

Just looking for inspiration and gathering ideas for shoots to do.

One theme I adore is the current Passionata campaign. Why? Because it's colourful, playful yet cute and sexy. I especially love the Autumn Winter shoot 2010 just gone, though this Spring Summer's season is still very much along the same ethos.

With Spring fast approaching I'm definitely keen to think toward more cheerful and flirty ideas.

Photoshoot

Thought I would share my day with you. I was able to work with highly published photographer Chris Rout this afternoon. My other half Sean modelled for half the session with me on a lifestyle set, which with much hope will end up published in the likes of the Daily Mail or Woman magazine. We had immense fun working on this.

Shots we worked on included typical 'problem pages' images; frustrated partner, consoling partner, checking finances; the most hilarious one involved a mock up bed. I'll leave you to wonder what that shot was for and I'll come back to it when photos are processed... :-)

I really enjoyed the lingerie sets we worked on (this time with Sean resuming role of Reflector Man, lol). Got some fantastic figure shots in some of my new underwear, this time not wearing a single pair of stockings, shock horror! It was quite liberating actually and I discovered a new liking for my bottom from a quick glimpse of a snap! We ended on some editorial Calvin Klein poses which is another idea I've wanted to do for quite a while, so it was good to finally work it. I'm really excited about getting these images back. I'm positive they'll give my portfolio a new direction and in the least, Sean and I will have some nice photos together (except the one where I'm scowling at him...) lol

The Model Agency

I'm looking forward to watching a new programme starting tonight on Channel 4 called The Model Agency. It's a fly on the wall reality series about Premier Model Management, one of the leading modelling agencies in the UK. As I am a freelance model still on the hunt for my perfect agents, I'm particularly intrigued to see behind the scenes action of how such an agency is run. I wonder if putting themselves on show will do them any benefit in the long run, or will they be seen less professional for publicly airing their rantings? What some of us do for celebrity...!

I'm all set for tomorrow's lingerie and lifestyle shoot with top photographer Chris Rout. Hoping to showcase some of my new underwear sets. I'm positive it'll be a very productive day.

Planning ahead

Amongst everything else that's currently going on, I'm particularly looking forward to a shoot I have this Thursday with a well published commercial photographer. We'll be working on some lingerie, hopefully getting some really nice, natural shots. Will also be doing some lifestyle shots too with my right hand man Sean (other-wise known as my fiance!), which should provide some fun. I'll share some photos from that as and when.

Also in the pipeline is a photo shoot with Wedding Belles of Otley. I worked with the lovely owner, Kellie last year modelling for a video shoot held at the White Hart hotel in Harrogate. It'll be great to work with the team again and to sample the new designer wedding dresses! I may end up liking a dress so much it may force the hand of marriage finally - well, I have been waiting 12 years!

New Battery Request...

Following a disappointing weekend (I was too ill to partake in Sunday's shoot) I started Monday bright and early for the arrival of some new delights, aka more underwear for the 'work' box!

Had a hot chocolate to help warm me up because yet again the snow was breaking out into full blizzard. I feel sorry for the birds out there trying to think about nesting, and thankful for the fact that our guinea pigs and rabbits are snugly safe inside out of that horrid cold.

Mr Postie delivered me some nice new additions which I'm looking forward to using soon. A gorgeous Gossard bra and shortie set in purple 'tulip' shade, and a sophisticated gold and white brocade corset. Another corset is still due to arrive this week, so anyone looking to do a luxurious boudoir shoot I'll have lots of delicious underwear to the rafters!

Now I just need some new batteries to get me through this week on a blaze!

New hair do!

Woke up this morning to find it was snowing again and already settled a couple of inches. Couldn't believe it, so much for looking forward to Spring! Hopefully it won't last this time around, when it hit before Christmas the whole world seemed to have stopped and we went without post for days at a time...

Regardless of the snow I was still going to make it to Saks Academy in Darlington. I'd been waiting weeks to go and nothing was going to stop me! I had planned to keep the same hair style, and it still is pretty much the same, but a neater shoulder length and side swept fringe which I do admit looks a lot nicer. Tomorrow will be the first shoot with my new hair so it'll be interesting to see what I look like.

So to that end, I'm going now to sort through my 'work' underwear box and pack my outfits for tomorrow. :-)

Welcome to my first post!

Hi, thank you for reading - and hopefully now following - my new blog.

I'm going to share with you my thoughts, plans and pictures as they happen in my life as a lingerie, pin up and bridal model.

Let me begin by introducing myself. I'm Becky. I work in the fickle but fabulous industry of modelling. I'm no regular model, though. I don't have the figure made for fashion: I have hips, bum and bust! I model lingerie and bridalwear and love it. I hope you'll find my little ramblings of interest, or at least entertaining!
