If I've been a little quiet on my blog scene it's because I've been squirreling away with my new plans for a video shoot. This is going to be one of the biggest projects I've done and managed myself so it's going to be super time consuming but sooo exciting!

I'm currently in the process of pulling a good team together and I'm 75% of the way there. We will have a videographer, photographer, make up artist and hopefully a hair stylist on set, with yours truly modelling. Finding the perfect venue will be the biggest challenge, especially as I have quite a clear idea what I'm visualizing; something very quintessential English, airing on the chintz, with a strong floral, almost vintage feel. Lingerie will consist of bras and knickers, corsets and stockings in an array of pastel colours, making a very spring/summer themed shoot. It would be nice to have the sun partake in the shoot too, but I'm guessing that may be pushing it for now... :-)

If anyone can recommend a hotel somewhere between Tyne and Wear and North Yorkshire, I'd love to hear your ideas!

I've also realised I've quite a crush on old rocking horses too. I was browsing eBay and saw some truly beautiful vintage horses but I can't exactly justify a two grand price tag, however gorgeous it is! It drew me to imagine all sorts for this shoot I'm working on, which got me all excited all over again. I contacted a local expert who just so happened to be from my hometown, who specialises in restoring these old rocking horses. Unfortunately I won't be able to loan a horse for this shoot because they're not the kind of thing they keep in stock. Gutted is not the word. If anyone has a rocking horse like this I will be your best friend forever... :-D x

I would say that Spring has sprung but judging by today's dank weather, you'd think we were way back in late Autumn. The fog has been so heavy and it just makes everything feel dreary and miserable. Not a good feeling!

Despite the lack of that spring feeling in the air, my modelling clothing boxes certainly received their spring clean! It was time to tidy, reorder and out with the old and in with the new. Bits and pieces which I don't want to keep reappearing in shoots are to be sold on which will clear some space, and I stress the 'some' (!) I hadn't realised just how many beautiful new additions I've been buying recently so it was good to go through pieces properly. They'll be worn in due course, which I'll of course share with you.

The black lace bunny ears finally arrived today, which I'm very excited about. I'm planning on creating a dark, high fashion lingerie look, incorporating the ears with some stockings, killer heels and a bra or corset. We shall see how the idea develops! Any make up artists who would like to do me a smokey eye look are urged to get in contact. I love having a good team when working on exciting ideas. Which of course I have plenty of!

The Curvy Kate Star in a Bra competition ends in precisely an hour and three quarters' time. I may do this for a living but I'll be beyond ecstatic to get into the top 30 and have the opportunity to model for such a fab international label. We shall see :-)

It's that time of year again when Curvy Kate, leading lingerie manufacturers for those with a larger bust, launch the hotly anticipated competition in the lingerie industry - the search for their annual Star in a Bra!

Me being the ever game and curvy gal, couldn't wait to get my own pictures sent in. Armed with my most fabulous underwear I let Sean loose to snap away - and I loved it! Curvy Kate love their girls to show their confidence in their own skin and smile, and all who know me and have had the pleasure to work with me (!) know just how much of a big kid I am and how I love to have fun on my shoots and SMILE! :-) Let's hope they're looking for someone with a real woman's figure and chirpy personality such as my own! The competition draws to a close in less than 6 days time, so fingers crossed. x

Today I've been planning what shoots I'd personally like to do and I'm really quite excited about what I've come up with. A couple of shoots rely on the arrival of some props which I'm awaiting from the wonderland that is eBay. I squealed like a mouse when I found one of these items, something I've been sniffing out for what's felt like aaaaages. I will share more with you later on.....

Also today I took the plunge of stripping my hair. Sounds scary, which I admit was when I started applying the liquid - it smelled awful! - but this basically meant the removal of all permanent colourings out of my hair and returning it, supposedly, back to its original colour. I thought it odd that no colour was actually washing out during the rinsing processes but it must have been going somewhere because my hair was changing shade. I've now got some very lovely ginger sections amongst my brunette mane (I say with with slight sarcasm), which can only mean the red which the L'oreal team applied for the Autumn Winter '10 show last year had been put on prelightened hair. I'm guessing. Well as long as when I come to colour it again in a week or so's time, it's all evenly chocolatey, I'm happy! We shall see, ay?

Hey, I can't believe it's been five days since my last post! It certainly has been an eventful week with lots going on, and I've had lots of photos back too which I'm keen to show you.

Four weeks ago I worked with Phil Ryott on a fashion and lingerie shoot. The plan was to have a photoshoot and be filmed at the same time, with the intention of the footage being made into a promotional video for the studio at the Biscuit Factory in Newcastle.

My fiance Sean J Connolly is also a photographer and he together with Phil took the stills imagery, with Sean working behind the camera whilst Phil handled the cinematography. Creative make up artist Sarah Crosby was the set MUA and stylist who made me look gorgeous and she also took to the camera herself. Sarah is a fab girl to work with, really down to earth and professional so always a pleasure to work with.

The video work is still being processed but in the meantime I have today received the stills images, and I'm really pleased with them. I am yet to officially establish who took which shot, but these are a few of my favourites anyway:
